Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team focused on selling fleet card solutions to SMB trucking companies.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of success, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to optimize sales strategies and enhance product offerings.
- Track weekly and monthly progress and success of your team by measuring various primary KPIs, coaching and enabling their success across short and long-term goals
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure correct use of CRM, processes, and best practices to maintain pipeline hygiene, planning, and forecasting.
- Work and make decisions in accordance with Bobtail’s mission, vision, and values
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in SMB sales, ideally within fleet management, fuel card, or related industries. 10+ years experience in business-to-business sales.
- Previous experience in building and managing a sales team from the ground up.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving ambitious goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to interpret sales performance metrics and drive improvements.
