Account Manager, SMB
Job Description
The Account Management role is a quota-bearing sales role responsible for expansion sales and renewing & retaining our clients. In this role, you will work within a book of business and cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product and customer success to provide the best customer experience we can and, in doing so, expand and retain your customers.
Responsibilities
- Own a quota
- Expand your book of business
- Drive account renewals starting 120 days in advance of their contract end date and executing all renewal back-end work in a timely manner for named accounts
- Handle cancellation request and save accounts that are looking to churn
- Work closely with your clients to help uncover growth
- Coordination with cross-functional teams such as Customer Success, Legal, Accounting and others
- Collaborate with the Customer Success Managers regularly to manage client relationships, adoption, renewals, areas for expansion and upsells
- Manage your pipeline of opportunities either, auto-created, self-created or passed from the Customer Success Team (Stage 1 -> Close Won/Lost)
- Meet/exceed your quarterly quota & goals
- Create, manage and run plays to uncover expansion opportunities within your annual and monthly book of business
- Help monthly accounts grow their monthly usage and convert to annual
- Meet with your clients over screen share to provide product demos, discuss product up-sells, negotiate renewals and mitigate churn risks
- Become a PandaDoc product superstar. Learn the in’s and out’s of the product so you can speak eloquently to best practices and solutions for your clients’ needs
- Pass feature and product requests to our product team and facilitate Project Managers and client meetings as necessary
Requirements
- Based in Pacific Time or Mountain Time zones
- Willingness to try new processes and innovate
- Self-motivated, directed, adaptable, gritty, driven and resourceful
- Hungry to learn about the product and passionate about customer experience
- Experience conducting in-person or virtual meetings with clients
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with various teams both in-person and in different offices
- Highly organised and possesses the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- History of being a highly confident compassionate problem solver with great communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong passion for user experience and customer happiness during their expansion & renewal process
It would be awesome if you had:
- 2-3+ years experience as a Renewal Specialist, Pricing Specialist, Account Manager or Customer Success Manager with renewal & expansion responsibility or other similar role, with SaaS product(s)
- Strong computer skills, past Salesforce, SalesLoft or PandaDoc experience
- History of Quota management
- Track record of hitting sales goals
