Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Record and categorize daily financial transactions in QuickBooks
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements and monitor financial transactions
- Post debtor payments with accuracy
- Assist with broker disputes and reach out for resolution
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks
- Perform additional bookkeeping tasks as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
