The Role
We are seeking a creative, versatile design dynamo to join the marketing team at our fast-paced startup.
As the Creative Marketing Designer, you will be responsible for developing compelling visual storytelling and eye-catching assets that effectively communicate our brand message. Blogs + white papers, event banners, short videos, the occasional hoodie? It should all engage our target audiences across various digital and traditional marketing channels.
This role requires a blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and thinking on your feet to deliver impactful designs that drive brand awareness and support our marketing objectives.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and Design Marketing Materials: Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and design a wide range of marketing materials, including but not limited to, digital ads, blog and YouTube covers, social media graphics, email templates, print collateral, infographics, presentations, and website assets.
- Web Design: translate design concepts into user-friendly and visually appealing web interfaces. Create mockups, wireframes, and prototypes for our website, landing pages, and other online assets. Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
- Brand Alignment: Ensure all designs align with our brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across all marketing touchpoints.
- Creative Strategy: Contribute to the development of creative strategies and campaigns by bringing fresh ideas and innovative design concepts to the table.
- Visual Storytelling: Translate marketing objectives and messaging into visually engaging narratives that resonate with our target audience and drive brand engagement.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry design trends and emerging design techniques to continuously improve the effectiveness of our marketing designs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, content, and product teams, to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality designs that meet business goals.
- Iterative Design Process: Embrace feedback and iterate on designs to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Graphic Design, with a focus on marketing and web design.
- Demonstrated experience in web design principles, including responsive design, user experience (UX) best practices, and web styling via HTML and CSS.
- Proficiency with graphic/web design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, with an emphasis on marketing materials and campaigns.
- Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, layout principles, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale effectively.
- Experience in designing for IT or Artificial Intelligence projects.
Nice To Have:
- Hands-on experience with Webflow is a plus.
- Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or UX/UI design is a plus.
Compensation
Salary Range
$90,000—$120,000 USD
