We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and evangelistic Developer Relations Lead to join our team at WalletConnect, reporting into our CEO.

The Role:

This individual will be the driving force behind fostering and expanding developer adoption of WalletConnect and our suite of products, including Web3Modal, Web3Wallet, Web3Inbox, and Cloud Product. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in strategizing with multiple teams internally (Marketing, Engineering, Product, BD, etc.) dedicated to building and enhancing our offerings, maintaining/building developer relationships and ensuring WalletConnect remains at the forefront of the web3 ecosystem.

• Direct Ownership & Drive for Developer Adoption: Understand the Big Picture and use that mindset to spearhead efforts to increase the developer community's engagement and adoption of WalletConnect and our products. Own community initiatives like our ambassador program, hackathons, grants and be the primary point of contact for developers ensuring our products serve them well.
• Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal teams to devise strategies that align with our mission of widespread adoption. This includes identifying potential areas for growth, improvements in our product suite, and ensuring our offerings are best-in-class.
• Developer Support & Engagement: Provide unparalleled support to external developers integrating and building on WalletConnect. This includes making sure they have access to the highest quality documentation, tooling, educational materials, and support systems. Actively engage with the developer community through events, training sessions, webinars, and hackathons to promote WalletConnect and our vision.
• Community Building: Act as the face of WalletConnect within the developer ecosystem, establishing and nurturing relationships with both corporate developers and those in the open-source community. Your role is to not only spread the word about WalletConnect's initiatives but also to listen to and gather feedback from the community to inform future developments.
• Education and Advocacy: Require developing a deep technical understanding of the web3 ecosystem to effectively advocate for WalletConnect and our products. While existing knowledge of blockchain technology is not a prerequisite, a strong and enthusiastic willingness to learn is essential.
• Build: Together with your team be creative and build tools such as npx templates to simplify developers’ adoption stories. Also help your customers discover these tools by highlighting them. Measure their adoption via metrics
• Lead: a small but might DevRel team who are passionate about WalletConnect’s success and partner with marketing, BD, partnerships, product and engineering to ensure our efforts are successful.

• Proven experience leading developer relations, community management, or a similar role within the Web3 (blockchain, dev tooling, dApps, foundations, utility tokens, etc.)
• Exceptional proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of developers and stakeholders.
• Experience speaking at, mediating and/or running online & IRL events: hackathons, conferences, meetups, workshops, Twitter Spaces, YouTube, LinkedIn Lives, Podcasts, etc.
• Experience in writing documentation and producing technical content
• Use technical background to break down complex developer feedback from the community to translate to internal engineering and product teams.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
• A genuine interest in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and the web3 ecosystem, with a keen willingness to dive deep into these technologies.
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
• Ability to travel: 25%
