Director Sales
Job Description
This role requires a proven track record of success in sales and an eagerness to work in a fast-paced start-up with significant accountability. You will be on the front lines of growing Alpaca’s share of the market. You are an expert at managing the full sales cycle, especially qualifying, consulting, proposing, and closing new business.
You will focus on growing revenue, transaction volume and assets under management among various types of the prospects globally of financial institutions, fintech applications, challenger banks, quants hedge funds and any other relevant services that are to offer crypto and US stock investing services to their end users.
This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time. You must be an A-team player, self-motivated and driven to win.
The team is 100% distributed and remote.
Responsibilities
- Develop pipeline in sales through prospecting, meeting, conferences/events, calls, and email
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the industry as well as nurture potential customer accounts to develop relationships
- Gaining a deep understanding of our product offerings in order to communicate our value proposition to prospects.
- Ability to listen to and interpret customer requirements, build knowledge of customer challenges, and present solutions that directly apply to customer needs
- Create and deliver sales presentations
- Measure the outcomes of different messaging and contact approaches and adapt to continuously improve results
- Provide sales analysis and insight, accurate and timely data within the Sales CRM system, as well as accurate forecasting
- Communicate cross-functionally within the whole company, especially with our Marketing and Success teams
Requirements
Who You Are (Must-Haves):
- Track record of success in quota achievement and closing Tech, Crypto, FinTech, and Fortune 500 deals
- Strategic, persistent with an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to be part of a fast-growth start-up environment
- Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles demonstrated ownership of all aspects of your pipeline
- Track record of negotiating, structuring, and executing complex agreements.
- An energetic self-starter who embraces change and adapts quickly and with a positive attitude.
- Previous experience with early-stage startups puts you on top of the list.
- Series 7 preferred
Who You Might Be (Nice-to-Haves):
- Knowledge of rules and regulations governing Broker-Dealers
- Bachelor's degree

Compensation
