About the Mobile Games Backend Developer Position
We are seeking a talented Backend Developer with extensive experience in Photon, Google ecosystem (Firebase, Cloud), Unity, and .NET. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing backend solutions for mobile games, focusing on real-time interactions and scalable architecture.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing UI elements and integrating 2D and 3D elements into the game as provided by our artists, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend solutions using .NET and Firebase for mobile games.
- Implement and optimize real-time multiplayer functionalities using Photon.
- Utilize Google Cloud services for scalable and efficient backend infrastructure.
- Integrate Unity game engine with backend services for seamless gameplay experiences.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and game designers to integrate server-side logic with user-facing elements.
- Implement and maintain secure data storage and access protocols.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for production issues to ensure smooth operation of live services.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute to the team's technical knowledge base.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working as a Backend Developer in the mobile gaming industry.
- Proven expertise in Photon and real-time multiplayer game development.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services and Firebase.
- Proficiency in Unity game engine and its integration with backend services.
- Solid understanding of .NET framework and C# programming language.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Availability within the GMT+2 to GMT+7 time zones to align with our team in Asia and Eastern Europe.
