People Operations Generalist

Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the AggLayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the AggLayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer.  Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.


We're pioneering the future of web3 and we're looking for a dynamic People Operations Generalist to join our team. This role combines the strategic insight of an HR Business Partner (30% of role) with the hands-on execution of a People Programs Manager (70% of role). You'll be instrumental in shaping our organizational culture, driving employee engagement, and developing our talent as we scale.


With a focus on learning and development, cultural initiatives, and retention strategies, you'll help create an environment where innovation thrives and our team members can reach their full potential in the exciting world of web3. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for 30-60% of the organization
  • Provide escalation support and guidance to employees and managers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address people-related issues
  • Design and manage programs in collaboration with leadership in Performance Management, Learning and Development (with emphasis on manager training), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Employee Engagement, Retention and Experience
  • Create and deliver global L&D programs as coach/facilitator (leadership, soft skills, change management)
  • Assist in developing company-wide frameworks aligned with values and competencies
  • Create and deliver engaging presentations, training materials, and interactive experiences
  • Plan and direct employee engagement efforts, which promote a high-performing, inclusive, and mission-driven culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations or Human Resources
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of staying organized in fast-paced environments (familiarity with project management tools and methodologies a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and passion for employee development
  • Proven track record of building positive relationships across diverse teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (native fluency)  
  • Keen interest in organizational behavior and team dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience creating engaging training content and programs
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in an evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in web3 industry a plus
