  • Collaborating with writers to develop and refine content ideas and structure to ensure the final deliverable meets business objectives and the needs of the audience.
  • Conducting research and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure the content’s accuracy.
  • Serving as the lead writer for certain communications as business needs fluctuate.
  • Developing and maintaining a company-wide style guide to ensure consistency in communications across the organization.
  • Partnering with the SEO team to optimize content for search to improve organic rankings.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive company-wide content and communications library to ensure cohesion and leverage information across departments and channels.
  • Participating in editorial calendar planning and recommending content that will appeal to our target audiences and position SageSure as an industry leader.
  • Providing constructive feedback and training to writers and other team members on best practices for technical business writing and other forms of content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of proven experience in a writing and/or editing role.
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills.
  • Firm grasp on both technical and creative writing.
  • Extreme attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and non-direct reports.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and holistically about content strategy.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A natural sense of curiosity and desire to continually learn new things.
  • Proficient in Chicago Manual of Style.

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Experience in insurance (especially property/casualty) or financial category.
  • Master’s degree in English, journalism, or related field.
