Responsibilities
Main task pool:
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced graphics features for mobile games using Unreal Engine 4 and 5.
- Optimize rendering performance for a wide range of mobile devices, ensuring smooth and visually stunning experiences.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level graphics engineers.
- Provide technical direction and enforce best practices in graphics programming.
- Work closely with artists, designers, and other engineers to integrate graphics features seamlessly into the game engine.
- Collaborate with the QA team to identify and resolve graphics-related bugs and performance issues.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in graphics technology and mobile hardware.
- Develop new techniques that push the boundaries of mobile game graphics.
Pipeline and Tools Development: - Develop and maintain tools and pipelines to streamline the graphics development process.
- Ensure tools and pipelines are robust, efficient, and user-friendly.
- Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge across the team.
Requirements
- At least 6 years in the mobile game industry with a focus on graphics engineering.
- Proven track record of shipping high-quality mobile games.
- Deep expertise in Unreal Engine 4 and 5 (rendering pipeline, shader development, performance optimization).
- Strong programming skills in C++ and familiarity with HLSL/GLSL for shader programming.
- Experience with profiling tools and techniques for optimizing graphics performance on mobile devices.
- Solid understanding of modern mobile GPU architectures and graphics APIs (OpenGL ES, Vulkan, Metal).
- Comprehensive knowledge of 3D mathematics, algorithms, and data structures related to graphics programming.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Will be a plus:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred
