We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior VoIP Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design, deployment, and maintenance of high-load telephony systems across our multinational operations. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication solutions that drive our mission of delivering innovative financial services.
Responsibilities
Design and Implementation:
- Lead the architecture and deployment of high-load VoIP telephony systems from the ground up on various platforms.
- Manage telephony solutions within VDI environments, preferably using Citrix technologies.
- Ensure optimal performance of networks and VoIP protocols.
- Integrate telephony systems with existing infrastructure, including Google Workspace and Active Directory.
Project Leadership:
- Act as the owner of large-scale telephony implementation or migration projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support throughout project lifecycles.
- Develop hiring strategies and evaluate candidates based on key technical and soft skills.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on TRA (Telecommunications Regulatory Authority) requirements in the MENA region, particularly in Egypt, UAE, KSA, Kuwait, and Qatar.
- Manage international call routing and ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to negotiate contracts and service agreements.
- Evaluate vendor solutions, including platforms like Genesys and Ziwo.
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in VoIP engineering within multinational companies.
- Proven experience with telephony in VDI environments; Citrix experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in building high-load telephony systems from scratch.
- Hands-on experience with Genesys platforms; any Genesys certification is required.
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of networks and VoIP protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS is a plus.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace and Active Directory is advantageous.
- Experience with Ziwo is a plus.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of TRA requirements in the MENA region.
- Experience managing international calls and associated regulatory considerations.
Leadership Abilities:
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing large projects.
- Ability to hire, evaluate, and develop team members effectively.
Communication Skills:
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience working closely with vendors and cross-functional teams.
Compensation
Relocation
We offer remote work from anywhere in the world and are happy to work out an individual relocation plan for you.
Our employees have the opportunity to choose a country for registration: at the moment those are Armenia/Georgia/Serbia/Portugal/Spain.
We will help you open a legal entity and a bank account. In Armenia and Georgia the taxes are compensated by Tabby. In other countries we provide partial compensation of taxes.
We employ according to B2B contracts (service agreements).
For our employees we cover the following:
- Flight to one of the mentioned countries.
- Accommodation during the paperwork completion period.
- Opening a bank account and getting a residence permit in one of the mentioned countries.
- Family relocation (dependants).
New employees can also choose an alternative method of relocation to another country of their choice. In this case, Tabby will reimburse up to $5,000 of verified costs upon opening a legal entity and a bank account.
