About The Role

As a Staff Software Engineer with our Marketplace team, you will design and implement solutions on a team focused on supporting our massive and rapidly growing agent workforce that executes manual tasks and performs AI training.  This team is building an “Uber for the services industry” - we match clients that need repetitive knowledge work done efficiently and at quality with skilled humans that can provide that service.  We build software products to manage pricing, talent onboarding, quality frameworks, talent mobility, demand forecasting, and the other complex features required by a dynamic and globally distributed marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects with high technical complexity in coordination with multiple engineering and product operations managers
  • Mentor engineers at all levels within the Professional Services group
  • Participate in the hiring process for all levels within engineering
  • Influence engineering strategy across multiple systems and industry verticals
  • Uncover and eliminate architectural gaps to accelerate engineering in your area
  • Partner with product engineering to convert your tactical impact into long-term ROI

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering work experience
  • Experience working with fully remote teams
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with multiple teams on large-scope projects
  • Demonstrated experience presenting on technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience authoring and maintaining excellent org-wide documentation
  • You will need to research and synthesize information about new technologies, explain them to the engineering organization, and evangelize their usefulness in our platform
  • Demonstrated independence in project management around ambiguous problems
  • Strong experience with these technologies:some text
    • Backend: Python Web Frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI, etc.)
    • Frontend: React
    • Data Management Systems (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, etc.)
    • Cloud Deployment using Kubernetes (with observability)

Moreover, our leadership team is legally obligated to buy back partner shares according to a formal liquidity plan. This ensures a clear path for those who choose to sell their stake in the company.

Compensation:

  • Base: $195,000
  • Base + Bonus Target: $260,000
  • Equity: This role is eligible to participate in Invisible’s equity plan

The amount listed above is the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
